Desiree's heart was opened to those in Ethiopia through the adoptions of her boys. Her oldest son has an older brother living in Ethiopia who had no one to turn to after aging out of his orphanage system at age 18. Her heart grew from helping him, and the burden of older children aging out of orphanages was often at the forefront of her mind. On a trip to Ethiopia in 2015 God confirmed that there were others in the same situation and that something was needed to be done to help these young adults transition into adulthood. She lives in the Mid-West with her husband, Aaron, and their five children. She is excited to see what the Lord will do through this organization to help these young adults! |

In 2011, when Megan and her husband traveled to Ethiopia for the adoption of their son, she became aware first-hand of the problem of youth being exited from orphanages without preparation for how to provide for themselves as adults. She couldn’t stop imagining the fear that these young people must feel as they attempt to find work, secure a place to live, and provide food and clothing for themselves. Megan has spent her 15+ year career in the for-profit world, currently serving as Human Resources Director for Comcast in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is excited to bring her experience to the non-profit world to support a cause that is close to her heart! |
